MICHAEL DOMAN CAPTIVATED LISTENERS from his first appearance as front man for the cult band Broken Homes to his solo performances at prestigious L.A. singer-songwriter haunts The Hotel Café and Room Five. Michael set a standard for emotion, sensuality, and self-revelation that few have matched. Sadly, a years-long illness and his death in December 2020 silenced his talent before a broader audience could discover him.
“The Raw Truth: Volume One” is a five-song EP, the first in a series of EPs to be released from a cache of songs Michael recorded between 2005 and 2007 with co-producer Robin Frederick. They set out with the goal of capturing the intensity and immediacy of Michael’s solo performances as faithfully as possible—complete takes, no frills, just the power and breadth of his songs and voice.
